Memphis Grizzlies at San Antonio Spurs Free Preview 03/05/18

Lonzo Ball hit six three-pointers in the Los Angeles Lakers' 116-112 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, including three in the final three minutes.

As of this writing, 66% of betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Spurs to cover the point spread.

The 24-year-old ended up finishing the night with 11 points, two rebounds, four assists, five steals, and he was 3-of-5 from the field after 27 minutes on the court. The San Antonio Spurs have lost four straight home games. The Grizzlies committed 20 turnovers in the contest while the Spurs had only 12.

Pacers forward Bojan Bogdanovic scored 29 points in a 92-89 win over the Bucks. San Antonio now ranks 29th in possessions per game (96.7) and Memphis is 30th (96.5). They're only two games ahead of the Clippers, yet they're only one game out of the third seed. Ball sparked the rally by nailing 3 of 4 three-pointers in the fourth period.

The Spurs host the Memphis Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. Monday before playing defending league champion Golden State, Oklahoma City, and Houston in consecutive road games.

The Lakers have climbed the rankings this season in offensive rebounds per game (#3), defensive rebounds per game (#4) and assists per game (#6).

Ball went into the game shooting 32 percent from the three-point line for the season, but he's improved to 44 percent since January 1.

The Lakers have won 16 of their past 23 games and have already eclipsed their win total from last season. CJ McCollum added 22 points and Jusuf Nurkic collected 16 points and 16 rebounds, as Portland beat the Lakers for the 15th consecutive time dating to March 2014. The Over/Under lines have averaged 220.9 in the past two weeks and their games have resulted in an Over/Under average of 8.6. But Ball has been brilliant since returning from a knee injury that sidelined him for 15 games before the NBA All-Star break. He has averaged 22.5 PTS, 8.2 REB, 2 AST, 0.5 STL and 1.2 BLK with 1.5 TO. A win is needed to turn things around, but it won't come easy against a Lakers side who are playing their best basketball of the season. Randle is averaging a career-high 14.9 points on a career-high 56.2% shooting this season, but of late he has stepped up even further.
