Drunk man accidentally takes $1600 Uber ride home after partying with friends

Obviously, this accidental life choice has made Kenneth quite the hero of the drunken regrets world, and speaking on the matter he said simply, "I was just like... that's insane!".

But have you ever been so drunk, you had to pay over a thousand dollars to get home?

The Backwood, New Jersey, native had been hanging with friends near West Virginia University's campus.

"I didn't know what to think", he said. Neither Uber nor the driver made a statement as to why the driver had chose to take a passenger on a 300 mile trip. "I was getting drinks all night; I probably spent like $200 at the bar after already drinking all day", said Bachman. "It would have been like $800 but it came out to like $1,600".

Uber has a reputation for being of the cheapest ways to get home after a night on the town - just don't do what one exceptionally merry American, Kenneth Bachman, did.

Bachman gave his driver five stars.

Bachman's reaction to having taken a very expensive and very long Uber ride was just disbelief at the whole thing. He says he stopped at a CVS near his home and used the store's cashback option to give $20 to the driver. But he challenged the charge; he claims he never put in the home address for the Uber.

Bachman said that by the time he woke up, he was already several hours away from home and chose to complete the trip instead of asking the driver to drive all the way back. "He was on my phone, without me allowing it".

What a weird story, though it remains unlikely that an Uber driver willingly entered a destination multiple states away, taking toll fines throughout.
