Walt Disney World and Disneyland Ticket Prices Have Been Increased

The Disneyland Resorts Sunday raised tickets prices at Walt Disney World in Orlando and at Disneyland in California for most admissions, with annual pass hiking as much as 18 percent.

At Magic Kingdom, a single-day regular ticket now costs $119 for adults. All of the increases are reflected on the parks' websites. That's a $4 increase.

Beginning on Sunday, Magic Kingdom "value" days will cost $109 for an adult and $103 for children. And this is just the warm-up for some fundamental changes to Disney's ticketing programs yet to come later this year.

Value and regular one-day tickets are now $97 and $117, respectively, compared to $97 and $110 previous year.

"Peak" prices will be set at $129 for an adult and $123 for a child.

The company also said it plans to make changes to its annual pass program at Disneyland as well make its multiple-day tickets to Walt Disney World date-specific in order to help manage crowds, particularly as it prepares to open a new Star Wars attraction at both parks next year.

"We know how important making memories at Disney theme parks is to families and we will continue to evolve our pricing in a way that gives families a range of options to meet their budget and helps better spread attendance throughout the year so they can make the most of every visit", Disney spokeswoman Andrea Finger said.

Annual pass prices at California's Disneyland are going up by as much as almost 18 percent, as Disney looks to better balance its crowd levels throughout the year.

The price for parking is also increasing.

In October 2015, the Disneyland introduced flexible pricing at US parks as an incentive for guests to visit during less busy times. Standard parking will now cost $22 per day, while preferred parking will cost $45 per day.

Details on the fixed-date tickets created to control attendance will be released in advance of next year's opening of Star Wars Lands.
