New Strzok-Page texts: Obama wanted

Other text messages in the Senate report, some of which have been previously released, show Strzok and Page expressing strongly negative opinions about Donald Trump and the prospect he'd become president.

President TrumpDonald John TrumpTillerson: Russia already looking to interfere in 2018 midterms Dems pick up deep-red legislative seat in Missouri Speier on Trump's desire for military parade: "We have a Napoleon in the making" MORE on Wednesday seized on the report, tweeting "NEW FBI TEXTS ARE BOMBSHELLS!" without any additional context.

According to Fox News, Page sent a text to Strzok in September 2016 informing him that "potus wants to know everything we're doing" - suggesting, according to the outlet, that former President Barack Obama may have had "personal involvement" in the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe into the Hillary Clinton email scandal.

First, CNN obtained emails in January that showed Strzok co-wrote the first draft of the letter that Comey sent to Congress in October 2016, announcing that the FBI was reopening an investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails after finding new messages on Anthony Weiner's laptop.

Fox News' report this morning noted, "According to a newly released Senate report, this text raises questions about Obama's personal involvement in the Clinton email investigation". "I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy's office - that there's no way he gets elected - but I'm afraid we can't take that risk". We have a strict line, ' he said on April 10, 2016.

President Trump may not testify in the Russian Federation investigation according to sources close to his attorneys. The Justice Department subsequently recovered the missing messages.

Fox News' Jon Scott said before moving on.

"Omg, I am so depressed", Strzok replied. The Strzok-Page texts included in the appendix continue long after the probe was closed for the second time, with the very last one dated June 25, 2017. And his views, while decidedly anti-Trump, are also complicated. "Sending team up tomorrow to review. this will never end", Strzok wrote to Page on September 28, 2016.

The Senate Homeland Security Committee report came out a week after Republicans of the House Intelligence Committee released a four-page memo that alleged the FBI and the Justice Department abused their powers in undertaking the Russian Federation investigation. The argument is that it may constitute Obama meddling in the Clinton email investigation.

The Wednesday report from Johnson also looked anew at the July statement from former FBI Director James Comey about Clinton, suggesting it softened the description of her actions.

Congress, Page wrote in one text, is "utterly worthless". "Now I need to fix it and finish it".

Clinton used a private server and email accounts for official business during her tenure as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.
