Victims' father tries to attack Larry Nassar during sentencing hearing

A father whose three daughters were abused by disgraced U.S. gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar attempted to attack him in a MI courtroom. There is explicit language in the video. The daughters say their other sister was also abused by Nassar.

Randall Margraves swore at Nassar, and then requested five minutes alone with him. "Would you do that?"

"You know that I can't do that", she said. However, these are legal proceedings, and the criminal justice system is doing what it is supposed to do.

It took three bailiffs to tackle and restrain Margraves, who didn't get close enough to Nassar to land a punch. After that was denied, he was asked for just one minute.

"Let me have that son of a b****", Margrave exclaimed on the ground. "Give me one minute with that bastard".

"Relax, sir", an officer Margraves.

Update, 2/2/18, 1:15 p.m.: Margraves appeared in court again this afternoon, this time to apologize to the judge. Margraves asked before running toward Nassar, who was seated at the defense table.

A special hearing was held Friday for the father, and Cunningham decided not to hand down a punishment.

Two of Margraves' daughters gave victim impact statements before Margraves went for Nassar. Both are victims of Nassar.

After his daughters spoke Friday, Margraves asked if he could make a statement.

Angela Povilaitis, the lead prosecutor in the case, pleaded for calm. "No one can behave like this". But you can not do this. "This is letting him have his power over us". "She (the victim) will come out and tell you this". The sentencing hearing in an Eaton County, Mich., courtroom follows the emotionally-charged seven-day sentencing hearing last month where more than 150 women confronted Nassar.

Friday's hearing started with controversy after the judge at the MI court had to address comments made by lawyer Sharon Stone to a radio station, in which she said she had doubts about the large numbers of people who are victims.

"You can not behave like this", Povilaitis reportedly told the people in the gallery.
