Israeli forces detain 20 Palestinians from the West Bank, 33 from Jerusalem

Senior Israeli and Palestinian officials, including ministers from both sides, met at a ceremony Tuesday in the first high-level encounter since US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

A video shared on social media showed protestors entering the meeting room holding signs and chanting against the USA administration's decision surrounding Jerusalem, after which the delegation packed up and left.

"Attacks on West Bank schools are one of many elements making up the coercive environment that pushes Palestinians off their land in order to make way for Israeli settlement expansion", said the Norwegian Refugee Council's Country Director in Palestine, Kate O'Rourke.

He also said he believed Israel wanted to negotiate peace.

In response to communication from CAMERA's Israel office, editors commendably clarified, adding the phrase "a figure estimated in the low tens of thousands", regarding the number of living Palestinian refugees.

The U.S. earmarked 60 million dollars for the agency for 2018, saying that 65 million dollars were withheld for "future consideration".
