Super Mario Odyssey getting free minigame and outfit DLC

Jan 12, 2018, 03:27

Players will have to have completed the main game before accessing the DLC, which includes two competitive modes. It looks pretty cute, and it'll be free so I'm sure players will get their fill or at least have some fun with it.

Nintendo has announced a free new update for Super Mario Odyssey with new modes and outfits. In Find It mode players are tasked with finding another player's balloon, and only have the thirty seconds to do so. In the "hide it" mode, you race against the 30-second timer to conceal balloons in the hardest to find places on the board. It's great to see Nintendo continue to support one of the greater games in its series, Super Mario Sunshine! There will be rankings boards so you can become a master balloon finder yourself.

There will also be three new costumes added to the game, as well as several new filters for the games Snapshot Mode.

Visit astonishing new locales, like skyscraper-packed New Donk City, and run into familiar friends and foes as you try to save Princess Peach from Bowser's clutches and foil his dastardly wedding plans. Why not drop them on the new outfits coming to the game?

Super Mario Odyssey is available now for Nintendo Switch, with the new update coming in February.
