Police investigate disappearance of journalist last seen in Houston

According to NBC News, Courtney Roland was last seen at 4 p.m. local time on Saturday afternoon after covering a Texas A&M football camp in Houston, Texas.

Then a passer-by saw Roland walking beneath an overpass and recognized her from media reports.

The disappearance of Courtney Roland, 29, caused alarm after she sent nonsensical texts to her mother and her roommate called police Sunday saying Roland had expressed concern that a suspicious man was following her. Police later said she was found in the area. She told Click 2 Houston that the blue truck looped back around and parked behind her before Roland got out of the auto.

Houston police got a tip from a passeryby who spotted Roland under a bridge before 8:15 a.m. nearby time Monday.

Ms Roland went missing on the weekend.

Roland covers Texas A&M football for AggieYell.com and Rivals.com, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Roland was supposed to meet her roommate later that night but didn't show.

Before she was found, many people took to Twitter to use the hashtag #HelpFindCourtney in an effort to locate her. Gov. Greg Abbott was among them. She appeared to be unharmed, Houston police tweeted.

Her Jeep was found overnight with her phone and other personal items inside, Houston police said in a tweet.

Courtney's mother said she received a odd text from her phone that said "hello the owner of this phone Courtney".

Anyone with information is asked to call the Houston Police Department at 832-394-1840. "And I know Courtney would be praying for you, because that's the way she was". Houston police officials confirmed that a missing person's report was filed in Roland's case, but they have said little else.
