Vodafone offers unlimited calls, 1GB daily data for Rs 198

The Jio customers can get 2GB 4G data per dayalong with free and unlimited local, STD and roaming calls.

The second Vodafone plan for its prepaid users is Rs 229 offer. The plan also ensures free and unlimited SMS.

Reliance Jio on Friday unveiled its "Happy New Year" plan.

For high data users, the Rs 299 plan offers free voice, unlimited data, which means 2 GB "high speed" 4G data per day, Jio said.

Reliance Jio, the latest entrant in the telecom field has ensured that it does not lag behind more established telecom service providers by revamping its prepaid plans routinely.

At present, Jio plan priced at Rs 149 comes with 28 days validity but offers only 4 GB data during the validity period along with 300 SMSes.

New customers need to recharge with Rs 229 to get the same benefits, Vodafone said in a statement. Validity for the new plans is 28 days each.

Vodafone has launched two new data tariff plans with lucrative data and unlimited call offers, adding cheer to Christmas festival in India.

Airtel has also unveiled a Rs 199 plan that competes directly with Jio's new plans. The validity of 349 plan of Airtel is 28 days. The Rs 299 plan has the same benefits except for the 2GB data that it offers each day. This plan is clearly an answer to Airtel 349 plan.

Recently the company also announced to extend its triple cash back offer which was announced last month.
