New Zealand 325-6 in second ODI against West Indies

Beaton was reported after the second one-day global between West Indies and New Zealand in Christchurch on Saturday, the 25-year-old's second ODI.

West Indies right-arm fast bowler Ronsford Beaton will undergo testing for a possible illegal bowling action after being reported by match officials in New Zealand. The West Indies need to win to keep the three-match series alive after losing the first ODI by five wickets. The final ODI is in Christchurch on Boxing Day.

George Worker of New Zealand looks dejected after being dismissed by Ronsford Beaton at Hagley Oval.

"The intensity always gets up when the white ball comes out - batsmen target you, trying to get you off your length and you've got to think on your feet", he said.

"If I had to pin it down to something, I know that when I am swinging the ball, I wouldn't say I am a different bowler, but I nearly grow another limb in a way, so it was nice to knock over a few".

Henry Nicholls (83 not out) had earlier helped New Zealand, who were put in to bat, recover from a somewhat worrying position to post 325-6.

Astle provided invaluable support in just his second ODI, falling one run short of his maiden 50 when he was clean bowled by seamer Sheldon Cottrell two balls into the final over.

Windies are still winless in their tour of New Zealand, having lost the two Tests and the two ODIs so far.

Lockie Ferguson (3-17) removed Jason Mohammed (18) and Rovman Powell (0) with consecutive deliveries before Holder (13) was also gone.

Ashley Nurse (27) and Ronsford Beaton (12no) delayed the inevitable before Boult cleaned up the tail to complete his seven-wicket haul.
