Clearing skies tonight; mostly cloudy skies push by Sunday

We can expect mostly sunny skies with the highs in the low 40s and lows in the low 20s. Highs: Low-to-mid 50s. Rain will arrive Tuesday night and continue into Wednesday.

We'll see another warmup on Monday with highs near 60. Expect clouds and patchy fog on Sunday morning for parts of south central and eastern Kansas, then sunshine by afternoon. Lows fall mainly to the low-to-mid 30s. Temperatures will warm to the mid 50s after a chilly start in the 30s Saturday morning. Highs are most likely in the low-to-mid 50s, though they could come in a little lower or higher depending on how much sun vs. clouds. Small rain chance. Highs in the upper 40s near 50. Winds will be very minimal, providing good conditions to go outside and hang Christmas lights or do yard work. Could see some areas of fog develop as well.

The precipitation should leave the area by Wednesday as partly sunny skies emerge by the end of the day.

There is a slight chance of overnight showers, increasing to an 80 percent chance of occasional showers throughout the day on Tuesday. A strong cold front will move through Kansas on Monday ushering much colder air into the region.

Early cloud and rain will slowly clear eastwards on Monday leaving many with a largely dry day with partly cloudy skies and sunny spells.

Tuesday Night.Mostly cloudy. Showers likely. This could be the coldest temperatures of the season so far.

1/10: A few flakes could fly Friday into the weekend, and with cold air around ya never know.
