Margot Robbie has a fourth Harley Quinn project in the works

Following the character's debut in Suicide Squad, Robbie and director David Ayer were confirmed to be developing spin-off film Gotham City Sirens, while Crazy Stupid Love directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa were in talks to write and helm a movie about Harley and Joker (played by Jared Leto in Suicide Squad).

On what she wants to see in these movies: "I want to see her with other women". The only clue to this is that she says she has been working on it for two years. "I'm not sure anyone knows what's going to be the next thing, but everyone is itching to get Harley back on-screen".

There's no way Warner Bros. would move forward with four different Harley Quinn-related movies, no matter how popular and well received Robbie's take on the character was, right?

Up first is a direct sequel to Suicide Squad, after Gavin O'Connor (The Accountant) pipped Mel Gibson and Jaume Collet-Serra at the post to land the coveted gig, while we understand the Powers That Be have also drawn up plans for Gotham City Sirens and Joker and Harley Quinn, an embryonic spinoff centering on the fiery, "messed up" love affair brewing between the two DC icons. No one actually cares about Harley Quinn or wants to see Warner Bros. ruin more iconic comic book characters. "She loves meeting people - any people - but she needs a little girl gang". And when it comes to Harley Quinn and all of the other badass women in Batman's rogues gallery, there's a lot of potential. If it were up to her, we may have even seen that in Suicide Squad to begin with. And Margot Robbie says you can add one more Harley-centric project to your bucket list: a solo movie. But you also can't be kind of paralyzed by the idea of 'How do we please everyone?' because it's just not going to happen.

"It's so weird when people want to know about you because you're like, wait, my whole job is not being me. Me?"
