Florida Teen Found in New York After Disappearing With Soccer Coach

Frisina - who plays soccer at a high school in Fort White, Fla., where Rodriguez is a coach for the boys' soccer team - left her house on Saturday night, leaving behind a phone that had been erased.

The sheriff's office said Caitlyn Frisina was found safe in NY.

The officer stopped the auto in Syracuse, New York.

Sheriff Mark Hunter didn't detail the relationship between Frisina and Rodriguez and said his primary focus was to bring the teen home safely.

The Post-Standard reports police are holding Rian Rodriguez on a charge from Florida known as interference with child custody.

Frisina's parents say he's also a family friend.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office tweeted that she had been found. It's believed she left voluntarily with him, authorities said earlier.

It was not immediately clear if Frisina was with Rodriguez when she was located. Security camera footage from a Fayetteville pawn shop appears to show Caitlyn.

"We had a very handsome, wonderful, very emotional reunion with her a little while ago", the teen's mother, Scarlet Frisina, told reporters at a news conference Saturday afternoon.

"We are looking forward to a lot more time together and being able to get back home and move forward as a family", she added.

"She's with a person who is 10 years her senior in a supervisory capacity over her as a coach", Hunter said.

According to statement released by the Columbia County School District, they said they were working in tandem with the sheriff's office and added that the coach has been suspended due to the ongoing investigation. First Coast News was told he was sacked for not showing up to work.
