Vegas Casino Robber's Car Found, Search for Suspect Continues

Las Vegas police have release surveillance pictures of a man they are looking for in connection with an armed robbery at the Bellagio Casino poker room.

In a brief news conference, Las Vegas Metro Police Capt. John Pelletier said that his department is "comfortable and confident" that they have enough information that will eventually lead to the thief's capture.

Pelletier, who oversees Metro's Strip jurisdiction, said the robber was wearing a wig, glasses and some type of mask or bandage on his face.

The man went to a poker room cash cage on Tuesday afternoon, demanded money and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

"So we are playing poker at the @BellagioPoker and a guy walks up with a gun and robs the cage thirty feet from us ten minutes ago", he tweeted.

He added that the staff of the Bellagio "were fantastic".

And while officers were soon on the scene, the suspect had already gotten away.

The gunman fled in a silver Chevrolet Cruze with the Nevada license plate number 37D147. "Excellent staff, cool under pressure", Woods tweeted.

MGM Resorts International, owner of the Bellagio, plans to work with investigators to identify the suspect.

The Bellagio was the site of one of the most famous fictional heists in movie history, as seen in the 2001 film "Ocean's Eleven."
