Rose has played in just seven of Cleveland's 18 games this season because of a left ankle injury the point guard suffered while driving to the basket on October 20 in Milwaukee. This season, the former Memphis Tigers standout suffered an ankle injury, which has kept him out of commission to this day.

League sources indicated to there is "growing uncertainty inside and outside the organization" as to whether Rose will return. He has since dealt with multiple knee injuries - including tearing his ACL in the Bulls' opening game in the 2012 playoffs - that has hindered his output over the years. The team is starting to turn things around and now has a six-game winning streak that has improved them to 11-7 on the season.

Rose had been wearing a walking boot and undergoing treatment.

"Just a jacked-up ankle", Rose told ESPN at the time.

The Cavs, however, figure to be just fine without him.

Rose is averaging 14.3 points this season, with his high game a 20-point effort on November 3 against Washington. "So I'll wear this, for I don't know how long, to see how it helps".
