Trailer released for movie partially filmed in Little Falls

To stay quiet in their remote home, the family remains barefoot at all times, even outdoors; tip-toes along marked spots on the floor; speaks only in sign language; and plays board games with soft, fuzzy pieces rolling dice on cloth.

The film is directed by John Krasinski who also stars in it with wife Emily Blunt. Information about the mysterious movie has been has been kept largely under wraps since it was announced in March, but we can still glean a few clues about its plot from the trailer. "If they can't hear you, they can't hunt you". Bryan Woods and Scott Beck wrote the original script which was rewritten by Krasinski.

The first official two-minute trailer has one impressive jump scare and effectively conveys the tone for this 2018 thriller. His previous credits as a director include 2009's Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, 2016's The Hollars, and three episodes of the comedy series, The Office.

Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds star as the children in a "Quiet Place".

Here's what we can glean so far: a couple (Blunt and Krasinski) are living (well, surviving might be a more apt description) with their kids in a remote cabin in the woods after what we can only assume is some awful incident.

A Quiet Place is due for release in Ireland and the United Kingdom on 4 May 2018.
