U.S. security team in Israel to discuss Syrian border deal

In televised remarks opening Israel's weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not speak about the new U.S.

"We have not discussed in detail with our USA colleagues what is going on in the whole territory of Syria, apart from the fact that we have fixed our and Iranian legitimate presence under an invitation of the legitimate Syrian government".

A U.S. -Russian statement Saturday affirmed an understanding calling for "the reduction and ultimate elimination" of foreign fighters.

Israel has been lobbying both big powers to deny Iran, Lebanon's Hezbollah and other Shi'ite militias any permanent bases in Syria, and to keep them away from the Golan, as they gain ground while helping Damascus beat back Sunni-led rebels.

Israel seized the Golan Heights from Syria after the 1967 Six-Day War and later occupied it in a move that has never been recognized by the global community. -Russian arrangement for Syria.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this evening (Tuesday) that Israel has offered to help Iran and Iraq via the Red Cross in the wake of the major quake that rattled the region.

Israeli media quoted a United States official as saying that all non-Syrian fighters, including Iranian sponsored forces, would be expelled from the area near Israel's border and eventually from all of Syria.

Included in the investigation are accusations that Netanyahu - the country's 9th prime minister and the first to be born on Israeli soil - demanded that then-US Secretary of State John Kerry expedite US visas for friends; facilitated the sale of an Israeli media outlet to a business associate under favorable terms, and received a large block of tickets to a performance by US pop star Mariah Carey through an Australian intermediary in exchange for advantageous business terms, according to Haaretz.

In these cases, dubbed by the police "case 1,000" and "case 2,000", Netanyahu is suspected of receiving luxury gifts from Israeli-US Hollywood tycoon Arnon Milchan and allegedly making secret deals to receive favorable coverage in Yediot Aharonot, one of Israel's largest daily newspapers. Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman blamed the drone on the Syrian government.

According to reports, the deal applies to Iranian proxies fighting on behalf of Assad's regime, which would be required to leave the border area and eventually Syria.
