Google Assistant to now broadcast messages for you

All one needs to do is connect all such devices through a common Google account and the work is done.

With this new feature one can broadcast to Google home from phone or another Google home.

Earlier this year, Amazon rolled out the ability to it's Alexa assistant to use their speakers as a way of communicating around your home, in the form of an intercom system. This smart device help you to perform many house chores. The message will then be broadcast to all Google Assistant-enabled speakers associated with the user. You can broadcast custom messages, or have the Assistant announce automated "playful messages" and sounds. Today ecobee revealed that Google Assistant is rolling out to its current product portfolio, which means that support is launching on a grand total of three thermostats.

In addition to checking the temperature, you can also cycle through your thermostat's comfort settings (away, home, and sleep) and tell it to heat up or cool down a room.

Things such as dinner time, waking up, or going to bed can all be addressed via these new speakers.

"Today's announcement continues our commitment to offer Google Assistant users some of the most innovative smart home technology on the market". For instance, if a user wants to ring in dinner time, the Assistant will ring a dinner bell on every speaker. Or, when you're leaving the office at the end of the day, you can speak to the Google Assistant in your phone to broadcast to speakers at home that you're on the way. The company's mission is to create smarter devices that are beautifully designed, easy to use and provide savings for families, while being good for our planet - most recently realized with its next-generation smart thermostat, ecobee4. The update is rolling out to users in the U.S., Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom with Homes set to English.
