The support page - for what should be - the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) has appeared on Samsung Korea's official website; indicating it won't be long before the device in released.

According to some leaks, Galaxy A5 might come with an Infinity Display, which will be 5.5-inches in size but with a full HD+ resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels).

Alongside the A5 (2018), the South Korean smartphone manufacturer is also working on the successor of this year's flagship phones - Galaxy S8 and S8+. But we know that this is the Galaxy A5 (2018) because the phone's previous generations have similar model numbers: SM-A520 (A5 2017), SM-A510 (A5 2016), and SM-A500 (original A5). The FCC listing for Galaxy A5 (2018) was reported by MobileExpose, which points out the phone has the following FCC ID: A3LSMA530N.

Samsung does not mention when the Exynos 9 Series 9810 will enter production, but we can expect that to happen in the next few months.

Samsung Galaxy A series is the mid-range premium one from the company with the A7, A5 and A3 usually being launched.

This will probably be the last software update that Samsung rolls out before the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphone. Gradually, the lineup became pretty successful and the company is launching a number of Galaxy A smartphone models every year. As for now, the only concrete details for major upgrades on the Galaxy S9 relate to the device's rear camera sensors. The sensor will be under the primary camera setup. The leaked renders revealed that both the smartphones will come loaded with Infinity displays and dual front-facing cameras.

The phones will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and they might also boast IP68 certification, making them water and dust resistant.
