Jimmer Fredette, Stephon Marbury Get Into Heated Scuffle In China Game

The 40-year-old Marbury, who played in the NBA for 13 seasons and was a two-time NBA All-Star in 2001 and 2003, spoke about the incident after the game.

In any event, Fredette had the last laugh, as his Shanghai Sharks outlasted the Beijing Fly Dragons (awesome name) 123-119 in overtime.

As Fredette was going up for a layup, Marbury knocked the ball out of his hands. Although no punches were thrown during the altercation, Fredette and Marbury had to be separated by players and referees.

"He forgot what an National Basketball Association steal felt like", Marbury said.

Knicks icons Stephon Marbury and Jimmer Fredette are both tearing it up in China at the moment, and they got into a nice little spat on Friday night.

Two of the most well respected players in the CBA nearly threw hands with each other during a game. Marbury finished the game with only four points, six rebounds and four assists in the loss.

Fredette was a superstar at BYU, winning the NCAA scoring title and college player of the year honors before being drafted 10th overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2011.

Marbury, meanwhile, was a prep legend who played one season at Georgia Tech before being drafted fourth overall in 1996. He spent part of the 2015 season with the Knicks.
