Also a part of the package is Android 7.0 Nougat, equipped with Panasonic's proprietary assistant called ARBO.

The handset is running on Android 7.0 Nougat and it features the company's AI assistant called ABRO that can make suggestions to the users on the basis of their usage patterns.

Panasonic India's new device will fall smack-dab in the middle of the smartphone market, where several models like the Nokia 6, the Moto G5s, the Galaxy On8 and others are already on sale. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor that's clocked at 1.25GHz. The highlight of the Panasonic Eluga A4 is the 5000mAh battery under the hood. The Eluga A4 comes with a 5.2 inch HD curved display with a pixel resolution of 720x1280.

Apart from a bigger battery, the Eluga A4 isn't very different from the Eluga A3 and A3 Pro smartphones that Panasonic had launched just three months ago. The phone has some unique features like fingerprint gestures and the spilt-screen feature that allows working on two different applications at the same time. For selfies and video calling, there's a 5-megapixel shooter at the front. The storage space can be expanded by up to an additional 128GB via a microSD card. On the front is where the 5-megapixel selfie camera is located.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB OTG for connecting external storage drives. The Panasonic Eluga A4 trumps even the Redmi Note 4 with respect to battery capacity, and is therefore targeted towards consumers looking to get more out of their phone's battery. It is available in Marine Blue, Champagne Gold and Mocha Gold color variants which are displayed in the following image. The phone will be sold by all of Panasonic's authorized brick and mortar distributors across the country and will not be available online.
