American Hero Fired For Flipping Off Trump Motorcade

Juli Briskman was off-duty when she was riding a bicycle past the president's motorcade, and gave him the one-finger salute. Briskman got captured flipping off Donald Trump's motorcade as it passed through Sterling, Virginia by AFP photographer Brendan Smialowski. News outlets picked up the story when it appeared in a White House pool report.

Briskman made a decision to tell Akima's HR department what was happening when she went to work on Monday. However, the reaction to the photograph, turned unfortunate for Juli Briskman, the woman in the picture.

Her employer wasn't too happy about the photo, and they fired her. But they wanted her to "be professional", she said.

A cyclist who was photographed pulling the finger at US President Donald Trump has lost her job over the act.

She said that after the image surfaced her bosses informed her she had breached the company's social media policy because she chose to make the photo her profile picture.

"They stated, 'We're isolating from you, '" Briskman said.

"Basically, you can not have "lewd" or "obscene" things on your social media".

A day later, Briskman says that Akima told her that she had violated their employee handbook's social media rules.

According to the Washington Post, the 50-year-old marketing executive gave her bosses at Akima LLC a heads-up after the photo of the still unidentified cyclist went viral.

Briskman, who isn't at all a fan of President Trump, couldn't restrain herself from flipping off America's Commander-in-Chief. "How is that fair?"

A company representative from Akima, in Herndon, Va., did not return multiple telephone calls seeking comment on Monday. She also said a male colleague posted lewd comments on their Facebook page, but they weren't fired.

When asked about her reasons for flipping off the president, Briskman told the Huffington Post, "He was passing by and my blood just started to bio". "I'm thinking, 'DACA recipients are getting kicked out". He pulled ads for open enrollment in Obamacare. She was thinking about the devastation in Puerto Rico, about the carnage of last month's mass-shooting in Las Vegas, and about deportations.

"I'd do it again", Briskman told The Washington Post.

"I flipped off the motorcade a number of times", she said.

As for why she got so enraged, Briskman said that even she was surprised, while explaining the limited extent of her activism prior to motorcadegate.

Briskman says she's contacted the American Civil Liberties Union. "I am appalled. This was an opportunity for me to say something".
