Roger Stone Tweets Obscenities, Insults At CNN Anchors: Advises

Roger Stone is in full-on cartoon villain mode since being banned by Twitter on Saturday night, vowing to sue the company while characterizing their dispute as a battle for free speech itself.

The long-time lobbyist and Nixon Watergate apologist/truther ranted extensively about the "Clinton's uranium" deal covered primarily by Fox News, then targeted the trio of CNN personalities.

After the tweets, Stone's account was suspended.

Stone has known Trump for decades and acted as an adviser during the early days of the Trump campaign.

In an April Business Insider post headlined, "Meet Roger Stone: One of Donald Trump's most loyal supporters who is now being investigated by FBI".

But Stone, a former Trump campaign adviser and longtime GOP operative, said that he has experienced harassment on the social media site, and that Twitter's decision to suspend his account seemed meant to "silence conservative voices".

Stone's disjointed, expletive-filled tweets followed CNN's breaking report that the first charges had been filed in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe into possible Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.

He also referred to Lemon and Tapper as "human excrement" and CNN contributor Ana Navarro as a "dumbf-k".

"I have been informed that I have been suspended for 3 hours and 12 minutes", Stone said in a statement.

Sunday morning, Stone told Politico that his suspension was "part and parcel of the systematic effort by the tech left to censor and silence conservative voices", and that he had chose to pursue legal action against Twitter after consulting legal counsel. "No surprising - it took me 2 years to get verified".

Without mentioning Stone by name, Tapper quipped on Saturday that he was enjoying some "prominent meltdowns on Twitter".

But strong, angry language is obviously OK on Twitter; what likely pushed Twitter over the edge was Stone's calls to action: saying that Don Lemon must be "confronted, humiliated, mocked and punished" and Jake Tapper "very severely punished".

"Twitter wants to avoid being regulated like a utility", he told the publication.
