Rose McGowan finds Harvey Weinstein coverage tough

On Friday morning, she appeared at The Women's Convention in Detroit, where she addressed her accusation that the movie mogul raped her (a charge Weinstein denies).

Tarana Burke, who started the #MeToo hashtag 10 years ago, introduced McGowan to the stage as the actress "who screamed her Me Too on the internet". "I have been silenced for 20 years".

"I have been slut-shamed, I have been harassed, I been maligned". And they're saying 'you know what? "Because what happened to me behind the scenes happens to all of us in society and it can not stand and it will not stand". The Hollywood Reporter says McGowan confirmed she was referring to Weinstein. Not me. The actual flower - because we have thorns, and our thorns carry justice, and our thorns carry effect.

She says "the monster's face is everywhere, my nightmare", but she thanked the audience for "giving me wings during this very hard time". "For all of us who have been looked down on". McGowan added that the monsters "must die".

McGowan also launched a website, RoseArmy.com, to urge women to speak out. No more. Name it, shame it, and call it out.

Judd said by then "I had come into my own, I had come into my power, I had found my voice".

McGowan also said there needs to be more women behind the scenes in Hollywood.

"That statistic has not changed since 1946, so we are given one view", McGowan said. But I know I'm not alone because I'm just the same as the girl in the tiny little town who was raped by the football squad, and they have full dominance and control over the little town newspaper. The actress continued and said, "The scarlet letter is theirs. From one monster we lock away to another".

My name is Rose McGowan, and I am courageous, and I am you. (McGowan alleged in a series of tweets earlier this month that Weinstein raped her). Rodriguez said he then came up with a plan - to cast McGowan in an upcoming project he was working on with Quentin Tarantino for Dimension (a division of the Weinstein Company, under Bob Weinstein), which turned out to be Grindhouse.

Weinstein was sacked from The Weinstein Company on October 8 after The New York Times published an expose that detailed decades of sexual harassment allegations against him. The report claimed that Weinstein paid a financial settlement of $100,000 to McGowan in 1997 over an incident in a hotel room at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

McGowan did not name Weinstein in her opening remarks at the Women's Convention Friday.

"If your feminism is about the difference between Hillary and Bernie, it doesn't represent me", Mallory said. He said it hadn't been proven. And former Fox News host and bestselling author Bill O'Reilly, who was forced out of the network in April after sexual harassment allegations, saw his literary agency cut ties with him.
