The event celebrated those working in the mental health sectors across the United Kingdom, and the royal trio were joined by guests from leading mental health organisations.

Kate Middleton has made her first public appearance since news broke of her third pregnancy, attending a Buckingham Palace reception marking World Mental Health Day.

Early on Tuesday, William and Harry attended a party at St. James's Palace, where they were praised by those in the mental health community for their work to break down stigmas surrounding issues of anxiety, depression and more.

The duchess looked stunning in a powder blue Temperley London dress, which visibly showed a small bump.

Normal morning sickness affects around 70 per cent of pregnant women, and causes some degree of vomiting and discomfort commonly during the first trimester of pregnancy.

She was last seen in public six weeks ago when she joined William and Harry viewing the memorial garden to Princess Diana, the day before the 20th anniversary of her death.

An aide revealed tonight that the duchess is still suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum but said her condition is improving. It has not yet been announced how many weeks Catherine is into pregnancy, but she is rumoured to give birth in April next year.

She also suffered the condition throughout her pregnancy with two-year-old Princess Charlotte.

Writer and activist Fiona Millar told reporters that William touched upon shifting attitudes among younger generations on the subject of mental health.

In the clip below, she shares the importance of talking about mental health issues.

Harry said it was time to take the awareness to the next stage and take it into "new partnerships to support better conversations in schools and workplaces". "Things that can't really be seen but that affect us every day, and talking about them can feel hard", she says, introducing a short animated film on the topic for children.
