Rush Hour 4 is Finally Happening

And, action! Jackie Chan just teased the much-anticipated Rush Hour 4 - but it's only happening on one condition.

Fans also agree that there needs to be another Rush Hour, and the sooner the better!

The original Rush Hour grossed $244 million worldwide for New Line Cinema and cemented the Hong Kong-born Chan as an English-language action star, after he had broken through in the US with 1994's Rumble in the Bronx.

Coming Soon reports that in two separate interviews (Power 106 in Los Angeles and The San Francisco Chronicle), Jackie Chan confirmed that Rush Hour 4 will go into production a year ago. Next year, Rush Hour 4, and I hope the script done.

While talking about the challenges of making another Karate Kid considering the characters have aged, Jackie revealed that Rush Hour is much easier to do. However, the movie is not going ahead without the approval of Chris Tucker. So while Chan is onboard, it appears that the decision rests with Tucker. "No, (we're now) Karate Men.' Jaden (is) taller than me now!" In Rush Hour 2 (2001), they were causing trouble in Lee's native Hong Kong after an explosion at the US Embassy killed two customs agents. The recent "Rush Hour" TV series which went down like a lead balloon, showing that without the two power-house comedians, the franchise just doesn't work.

He added: "Rush Hour you can do any time..."

He went on to say that the problem with it is not money but time. Chan really wants to do a fourth movie before they both get too old.
