Last Comic Standing Comedian Ralphie May Dead at 45 After Cardiac Arrest

Ralphie had been suffering from pneumonia for six weeks leading up to his death. May's body was discovered Friday morning at his private residence in Las Vegas.

Ralphie's stand-up comedy career took off after he finished second on "Last Comic Standing" in 2003. The comedian went on to record multiple comedy specials for Comedy Central and Netflix, including The Girl of a Nation.

Stand-up star Larry The Cable Guy wrote: 'You my friend were one of the nicest and kindest out there'.

"I'm at a loss for words to hear about the passing of comedian Ralphie May", added Iglesias.

May and his wife, Lahna Turner, separated in 2015 after 10 years of marriage.

They also claimed the comic was a drug taker who would abuse drugs in front of the couple's two children.
