Roman Polanski hit with fresh allegations of child rape

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on October 2, 2017, Polanski, 84, revealed that he thought his rape case was "over".

St. Gallen police met with Langer last week, and the St. Gallen prosecutor's office told the AP that the case would be transferred Wednesday to the "appropriate authorities" in the Bern regional prosecutor's office, which will decide whether to pursue it.

Renate Langer, who is said to have been raped when she was fifteen years old, was interviewed on 26 September by the swiss police, said Krusni Hanspeter.

The former model alleges Polanski got her alone by offering her a part in a movie. But even though Polanski didn't make any advances during shooting, later on, he raped her again one night in the apartment she was sharing with others.

She said she had not previously reported anything to police because she felt "ashamed and embarrassed and lost and solo", and was concerned for her parents. Langer is now the fourth woman to come forward to publicly accuse Polanski of sexual assault.

Polanski, 84, was arrested in 1977 for sexually assaulting 13-year-old Samantha Gailey (now Geimer) during a Vogue photo shoot and pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

Former German actress Renata Langer accused Roman Polanski of raping her almost half a century ago.

Polanski's legal team did not immediately respond to dpa's request for comment.

And in 2010 the British actress Charlotte Lewis said she was sexually assaulted by Mr Polanski as a 16-year-old. I pleaded guilty. I went to jail. I then was locked up here [in Zurich] after this festival. "So in the sum, I did about four or five times more than what was promised to me".

Ms Langer, who had a career as an actress, was first introduced to Mr Polanski while she was working for a modeling agency in Munich as a child.

Now Swiss Police have confirmed that they are investigating new accusations of historic child rape. "This had an influence on all of my life".

Langer said that she was speaking out now because she had read the account of the woman who came forward in August and because her parents are no longer alive. He has lived in France, which does not extradite its citizens, as well as Poland and Switzerland.
