Vikings will be without swing tackle Rashod Hill vs. Lions

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook was injured and fumbled on this play in the third quarter.

On the opening drive of the second half, Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon fumbled an exchange with Cook following a direct snap. That placed him firmly as the second best rusher on the team, ahead of the combined rushing yards of Dwayne Washington (third) and Theo Riddick (fourth).

The Vikings had only 120 yards in the second half.

The Vikings traded up to draft Cook in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Cook finished the game with 66 yards rushing and 8 yards receiving.

The most important question: Will the Lions defeat the Vikings on the road and keep pace with the Packers atop the NFC North standings? Not only did they force three turnovers, but they held the Vikings to just seven points (with the help of a Kai Forbath missed field goal).

He's recovering from a concussion, and he had a neck injury added on Friday. Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer told reporters that Cook will undergo an MRI and the team is concerned about the young runner's ACL.

Cook was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game. The Lions lost another linebacker, Paul Worrilow, to a knee injury on the first play of the game.

The Vikings play at Chicago on October 9, their second Monday night game in the first five weeks.
