Toddler shoots two other toddlers at MI daycare

In what a MI police chief refers to as "totally tragic" and "irresponsible", a loaded firearm was allegedly left in reach of children at an apparently unlicensed home day care in Dearborn, resulting in two children being shot Wednesday.

Yesterday, a 3-year-old child shot 2 of his friends at a daycare in MI.

The two children who were shot remain hospitalized in critical, but stable condition. He didn't say who the gun belonged to or how the child got ahold of it. "There's five or six kids at the time out there, maybe more".

It was also reported that there were several other children present at the time of the incident but luckily there were no other injuries.

Police say the toddler "accessed a handgun and the weapon discharged" at a house in Dearborn, a suburb of Detroit, where a woman, named locally as Samantha Eubanks, took in children but was reportedly not a registered daycare provider.

Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said, "This is a tragedy that affects the entire community and we wish the best for the victims involved". Police investigators are still meeting with prosecutors to determine whether charges will be filed. "It's not going to happen so that's why I'm very shocked".

The investigation into the shooting continues but no one has been charged.

"My sister totally hate guns", she told the Detroit News.

The children at the home were taken to the Dearborn Police Department where they will be picked up by their parents.
