Jane Fonda Has No Time for Megyn Kelly's Plastic Surgery Questions

On Wednesday's episode of Megyn Kelly Today, the former Fox anchor sat down with screen legends Jane Fonda and Robert Redford to discuss their upcoming film, Our Souls at Night-or at least that's what the actors were told they'd be discussing.

Kelly was in the middle of an interview with USA Soccer star Carli Lloyd - a South Jersey native - when one of her cameramen stepped into the frame and then cursed at himself.

"You, you've been an example to everyone, on how to age beautifully and with strength", Kelly said before launching into a question about why Fonda doesn't like talking about any "work" she's had done. I think she didn't want to have the show turn into about her, her surgery or her look.

With the president getting so much attention, she said she wanted to start a program that would be more broad and not mired in the negativity of dark, political arts.

Jane replied: "We really want to talk about that now?"

Redford also chimed in about the interview with Kelly.

She continued: "Have you... why did you say..."

"Well thanks. Good attitude, good posture, take care of myself".

Later that day, Messing responded to a fan on Instagram who asked "But why did you guys do the Megyn Kelly show? I have, and I've talked about it, but it just seemed like the wrong time and the place to raise that question".

When Megyn Kelly's Sunday night talk show debuted earlier this year, it was panned by critics, protested by high-profile public figures, and ignored by many viewers. New Yorker writer Doreen St. Félix observed tensions across the segment, noting that "Eric McCormack barely looked at Kelly while responding to her boilerplate questions; I thought I saw Megan Mullally wince".

"The itinerary just said Today Show appearance".

Fonda opened up in 2012 about going under the knife and the specific instructions she had for her doctor.

Factually, Kelly was right.
