Ninety7 intros portable battery cases for the Google Home, Amazon Echo Dot

Despite this, the word is Google Glass Founder, Babak Parviz, has been working on the product since joining Amazon in 2014.

According to a report by the Financial Times, the glasses could be revealed at a product launch event expected to be held soon alongside a home security camera, created to tie in with its Echo Show video screen. This might be the biggest success for the company till date as it will be offering a package of two for its user this year.

The accessory company Ninety7 is continuing its quest to untether smart speakers from wall outlets with the introduction of new battery packs designed for the Echo Dot and Google Home.

"Amazon's secretive Lab 126 product development team has been given the task of studying the smart-home market to see what other devices might make sense for the company to build", the Financial Times report read.

"Home and Echo customers use the devices at least once in a day". "They also use them frequently for information, like asking about the weather or sports scores, as well as setting timers and alarms".

Amazon will make an announcement regarding the release date of its product at the event launched for screening Echo's security camera. LOFT is supposed to sport a six-hour battery life while off that original Google Home power adapter, which isn't mind-blowing, but for a base this small, I'm not sure how much more you could squeeze in there.

The Echo was launched in the U.S. in November 2014, and was slowly rolled out to the United Kingdom and Germany over the next two years. While Amazon's popular Alexa Echo devices are arguably the king of digital assistants, it's easy to forget the retailer had a string of failures before that, especially the Fire Phone.

Amazon is reportedly developing "smart glasses", which will be directly connected to its Alexa virtual assistant.

But smartglasses are a product category that might still be a cure in search of a problem. There won't, however, be a screen or camera on the model as with Google Glass. Although there aren't many details on that security camera, it, too, could be coming sometime this year, according to Financial Times.
