Nike releases all new National Basketball Association 'statement edition' alternate jerseys at media event

But these are more than just a jersey, they can bring you highlights of your favorite player, too.

On Friday night, Nike chose to unveil an alternate uniform for each of the 30 National Basketball Association teams, called the "Statement" jersey.

The new uniforms will be worn for the first time on November 24, when the team takes on the Charlotte Hornets in Cleveland.

According to Nike, the design is inspired by the teams' "desire to make a bold statement the moment they step on the court". On Friday night, Nike revealed all of them in one big show. You might notice that some of the teams have the same jersey as previous years, but there are some significant changes to the 76ers, Pacers, and a few others.

The Cavaliers will unveil one more new uniform to complete the entire new look. They'll debut the new NikeConnect system, which relies on a mobile app of the same name that reacts to NFC tags embedded in the jerseys.

While connecting fans to real-time data about their favorite players is a great way for Nike to deliver content to customers, the real value for Nike in this program is an expansion of their business analytics.

These black jerseys will be available for $110 as a replica Swingman jersey or $200 as an Authentic jersey. The latter conceit also follows in Milwaukee's Statement Edition uniform, where the team's powerful new Buck logo is front and center.
