In the French capital of Paris, an attack on a soldier was again carried out, the France press reported.

"We do not know more about the intentions of the aggressor who was arrested - but this new attack fully legitimises what we want to do".

The victim managed to wrestle him to the ground and he was arrested by armed police as he shouted ISIS slogans.

The man was taken to the main Chateletpolice station, and now faces a range of terrorist charges.

In France, several incidents have been reported in recent times when the police and soldiers of the nation were targeted.

Parly said the failed attack, which was immediately thwarted, demonstrated the operation's ability to protect France's citizens.

" The man has been mastered, this is proof of professionalism and efficiency of soldiers of "Sentinel" in this mission of protection, has responded to minister for armed forces, Florence Parly, on Europe 1". It will shift greater focus toward temporary and seasonal events, but patrols around major tourist sites, places of worship, train stations and airports will still remain. But she says they also will move more easily around the country based on local officials' requests.

Reports state that the man was not previously known to the police, and has been arrested.

On August 9 six soldiers on patrol in the ongoing anti-terror operation dubbed Operation Sentinelle in the Paris suburb of Levallois were injured, two seriously, when a auto deliberately rammed into them.

In April, a police officer was killed in a shooting on the Champs-Elysées.
