Everton scout claims Olivier Giroud set to leave Arsenal in £20m deal

One of the Toffees leading scouts, Carlo Jacomuzzi, says that the price tag for the Serie A forward was the reason their decision and now, the Gunners man could be firmly in their crosshairs.
After the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette in a £46m deal, Giroud's future at Arsenal looks uncertain.
Giroud's exit would mean that Lacazette and Danny Welbeck would be the only recognised central attacking players, although the latter has been known to be preferred in a wide position.
He's previously been linked with a move to the likes of French sides Marseille and Lyon.
Giroud ended last season with 16 goals in 40 outings for Arsenal and lifted the FA Cup for a third time since moving to the Emirates Stadium.
Everton hope they can convince the 30-year-old to become their sixth signing with the promise of regular football, although officials are not fully convinced he will make the move to Merseyside.
Everton are likely to be on the hunt for a big-name signing up front between now and the end of the transfer window amid growing speculation that they're set to sell Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.
"I want to continue with Arsenal, and still want to do my best for this team", he recently claimed on Arsenal's website. The France worldwide would nearly certainly be a first-team regular for the Hammers, while the 30-year-old may wish to stay in London, having joined Wenger's men from Montpellier back in 2012.
"I won a few titles in my career, that is an important thing, but there is another thing which is important for me", he said.
"The motivation is here, always doing your best to make your family proud".
