Microsoft isn't making a profit with their new Xbox One X console

He revealed that streaming on Xbox One X is limited to 720p/1080p at 60 fps since 4K requires a lot of bandwidth.

Facebook/xboxA promo image of the Xbox One X, previously called Project Scorpio, as a cover photo on the Microsoft game console's official Facebook page. But let's have a look at the differences between the two. This is true as the Xbox One X does feature a customized AMD graphics capable of 6 teraflops of performance alongside 12GB of GDDR5 RAM. According to Phil Spencer many of these games will be enhanced and remastered to run on 4K graphics. The console is the most expensive of this generation for its capabilities, however, it seems that the company has not contemplated making money with this system.

Xbox One X won't be out until November this year.

Xbox also comes with 12 GB of memory, while PS4 Pro offers only 8 GB. On paper, it's clear that the PS4 Pro is competing with the Xbox One S, rather than the Xbox One X. It seems clear that Microsoft isn't anxious about that price gap between the two consoles since the company doesn't see them as direct competitors.

"It won't be as big as Xbox 360, I'll tell people that", he said.

During an interview with Business Insider, Phil Spencer, head of Xbox division, gave a simple "no" when the media asked if sales of Xbox One X will generate profits for Microsoft.

Although the Xbox One X will indeed outperform the PS4 Pro, Microsoft kind of lacked some major first-party AAA titles during its E3 2017 announcement.

Will you be picking one up later this year? It now appears if you pre-order Xbox One X you will also be getting a one month Xbox Game Pass trial.

He said it was partly because it is more hard to tie up rights issues surrounding the old games.

According to Spencer, Microsoft's mindset is that the hardware component of the video game console business is not that part that will make money for companies.
