A decision on whether to go forward with plans for the show in Dayton on Saturday has not been made.

Our news affiliates at ABC 15 is reporting that a military jet is on its top.

The Dayton Air Show is no stranger to tragedy: In 2013, a pilot and stunt walker were killed when their bi-plane crashed onto the runway and burst into flames as spectators looked on. "The plane was taxiing and it flipped".

The City of Dayton is confirming an aircraft accident involving one of the acts scheduled to appear at the Vectren Dayton Airshow this weekend. The show typically has attendance of about 60,000 people and brings $2 million into the region's economy, the Dayton Business Journal reported. The airport is open.

Rescue crews are on scene. "The airport is open".

A military aircraft crashed while landing at Dayton International Airport early Friday afternoon, landing upside-down off the runway. At this point, it's not certain whether the weekend will still feature the Thunderbirds, however.

Thankfully, nobody on the ground was injured in what looks like a scary crash taking place in certainly an odd manner.
