Keshia Knight Pulliam's last-ditch defense of Cosby

Jurors at Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial were scheduled for more deliberations on Wednesday after failing to reach a verdict after two days of discussions that stretched into the night.

The judge praised them for being remarkably conscientious as they consider three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault that could put Cosby in prison for the rest of his life. Speaking on "The Today Show" Wednesday morning, she said of Cosby "at the end of the day I truly believe you're innocent until proven guilty".

Most of the jurors looked tired when the judge agreed to send them back to their hotel late Tuesday night. "I just thought about it, how would I want to be treated if God forbid I was in that situation?"

The Cosby Show star, 79, has long maintained the sex he had with Constand, now 44, was consensual.

Cosby did not testify as part of his defence, but his alleged victim did, and told the Montgomery County Courthouse her mentor had given her three blue pills, which he alleged were supplements, to help her "relax".

The defense argues that Cosby and Constand were lovers sharing a consensual sexual encounter.

After taking the pills, Constand said, she had trouble talking and difficulty moving and was suffering double vision, before briefly losing consciousness. Cosby has also denied allegations from more than 60 women.

Bill Cosby arrives for his sexual assault trial with Keshia Knight Pulliam, right, at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa., June 5.

Prosecutors have tried to portray Cosby as a serial predator, calling a second woman, Kelly Johnson, to testify that he sexually assaulted her in 1996 and showing jurors his deposition testimony in which he admitted giving young women sedatives in the 1970s.

Besides Constand, the fourth day of the trial on Friday, June 9, was attended by two other Cosby accusers, Victoria Valantino and Linda Kirkpatrick. He further said that, in her first interview, she claimed to have never been alone with his client before the alleged attack, but later contradicted that statement saying that she spent time alone at his home before the alleged assault at a CT casino resort. "I'll be disappointed, however, it won't change the love". "They'll take the edge off", Cosby told her, she testified. She said she got up to leave and found Cosby in the kitchen. Cosby has given a sealed deposition in the case.

In late 2014, dozens of women went public with accusations that Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted them over the course of his lengthy comedic career.

Andrea, who is now 44 years of age, gave her testimony last week saying that she was drugged by Bill and, then, penetrated by him using his fingers against her will.

Jurors appeared exhausted and spent when they made a decision to call it quits late Tuesday after about 16 hours of deliberations.
