WWDC 2017: macOS High Sierra announced

Apple usually has a lot of fun with their naming scheme of new generations of macOS, and since previous year brought macOS Sierra, the company thought it'd be fun to call macOS 10.13 High Sierra. This may be the most meaningful change coming to MacOS. Except, instead of unveiling an all-new version with its own name, Apple announced it simply chose to refine and ideal Sierra. High Sierra developers beta will be available starting today while the Public beta will arrive by the end of June.

MacOS High Sierra is the successor to macOS Sierra, which Apple announced past year. "Extension tools for those engines, and others, are available as part of this beta", the gaming platform said on its website.

It means that the hundreds/thousands of photos you have can be backed up more quickly.

Beyond the marijuana jokes, High Sierra brings some new refinements. Metal is also being made for external graphics and a new developer kit will make it easier to tune apps for Metal 2.

With the 64-bit architecture being pretty much the standard these days for both mobile and computing devices, it makes sense that companies are trying to push users and developers towards running 64-bit apps. The new update features better organization, looped Live Photos, and new Memories categories. Apple has stated that Safari is now the world's fastest desktop browser. This feature will not block advertisements, but does enhance the privacy of an individual user.

"Safari uses machine learning to identify trackers, segregate the cross-site scripting data, put it away so now your privacy - your browsing history - is your own", Federighi explained, according to TechCrunch.

Photos Upgrades includes better face recognition that syncs across devices.

Of course, this new update will bring a lot of new things to your system, however you will not be able to see more features to use with this latest update from this new MacOS.

Third Party Printing Services allow you to print wall art and books. Finally, to help save disk space, Mail is 35 percent better at storing your messages, so you can use more of your hard drive for apps and less for email.
