FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers likely for Sunday

Monday night will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The risk for an isolated shower or thunderstorm will stay in the forecast through the morning with an increased chance for showers or thunderstorms late morning into the midday hours.

Showers will persist Monday and Monday night with an 80 chance of rain, and could continue into Tuesday, NWS predicts. After the wave moves to the east, the weather will be mostly clear beginning Tuesday. Highs will be cooler and a little below average in the mid to upper 60s. Make sure to have an umbrella handy on you heading to and from any church services in the morning as most of us will see scattered showers. A low of 65 degrees and calm winds from the west are expected Sunday night.

While Sunday should not be a washout - and again, some will watch rain and thunderstorms drift by in the distance - passing heavy rain is a possibility. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. During this time, a cold front will be approaching out of the northwest keeping rain chances elevated.

Friday Morning: We're starting out in the upper 60's and lower 70's.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 83. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday will be mostly sunny.

Wednesday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 58.
