Coutinho perfect for Barcelona - Tite

Coutinho's relationship with Neymar is key to Tite's Brazil set-up, with the manager keen to have the two men firing ahead of next summer's World Cup in Russian Federation.

Coutinho and Jurgen Klopp have both recently played down such speculation but Tite has told Sport that it is logical that Barcelona would want Coutinho to link up with compatriot Neymar.

'That magic, that capacity to invent and create something, that change of rhythm, the way he builds play.

On where the Liverpool player could operate for Barcelona, Tite said: "I'm always talking hypothetically, make that clear". There's Sergio [Busquets] and two articulators, Rakitic and Iniesta, who are the thinkers of the team.

"Coutinho is valued at around £70M and his best friend at global level, Neymar, is also encouraging the player to instigate a move away from Anfield this summer".

Asked if he will be playing for Liverpool or Barca in Europe next season, the Brazil global told ESPN Brasil: "A lot of people ask me about that, but I have contract with Liverpool, I've just signed a long-term contract, so the speculation stays with you, journalists".

Asked about how he fits Coutinho into his plans for the national side, Tite said: "The ideal position of Neymar at Barcelona is on the left side".

With Champions League likely on offer next season, Liverpool is now far more attractive and Coutinho is certain to want to be involved in that.

"So I thought 'how can I work with these two talented players?'"

Coutinho has been directly involved in nine goals in his last nine Premier League games, turning on the style to help Liverpool into the Champions League places. "I don't want to be pretentious and give an opinion on Barça, but who wouldn't want a player like Coutinho?"

"In Liverpool, Coutinho plays for the left, but the important thing is that he performs the same function for the national team". I even spoke with him and Klopp about the possibility.

Coutinho, 24, has flourished with Brazil since the appointment of Tite, who has guided the Selecao to eight wins from eight matches and already secured qualification to next summer's World Cup in his brief spell in charge.

"We need to create alternatives. We will only see this when we do it".
