A Canadian bow hunter had a grisly brush with death after a black bear attacked him during a recent trip.
While hunting near Fire River, Ontario recently, Wesley recorded video during his Spring hunt of a confrontation with a black bear.
He attempts to frighten the bear away by making loud noises but it doesn't appear to work.
He added that he was able to deflect the leaping black bear with his bow just before he tumbled onto the ground. As Wesley begins to back-up, the bear starts to charge and the whole thing immediately gets scary.
It then makes a terrifying leap directly at Wesley, seemingly at about shoulder or neck height.
As the bear jumps at Wesley's face, he drops his camera to the ground.

Richard Wesley was hunting when he came across a large bear about 100 feet away, according to the Daily Mail.
It is not known whether or not the bear survived the scuffle.
