Katy Perry might just be anti-Starbucks' Unicorn Frappuccino

"The unicorn Frappuccino from Starbucks looks like it tastes like a birthday party that no one showed up to", one Twitter user wrote.

Though derided by critics as "magical diabetes juice", the popular and brightly multicolored frappuccino ran out in Northwest Indiana nearly as soon as it was introduced on Wednesday; for instance, it was gone from the Hammond Starbucks on Indianapolis Boulevard by Wednesday night. The drink is available for purchase from April 19-23.

"Here at Starbucks, your enjoyment is our goal". It is not without critics, including Griffith's Grindhouse Cafe, which tweeted "Unicorn Frappuccinos drool, Cactor rules", alluding to its own seasonal slushy fruit beverage. A 16oz drink has 410 calories, according to BuzzFeed, and is made with whole milk and whipped cream.

Braden Burson of Monument, Colorado, posted a video on Twitter and begged customers to stop ordering the drink, USA Today reported.

Blame the company's limited edition Unicorn Frappuccino: a concoction of syrup and sugary powders that's perfectly crafted for your Instagram and has everyone going slightly insane-everyone except Katy Perry that is.

BuzzFeed points out that the grande version of the drink has 59 grams of sugar which is about one and a half times the maximum amount of added sugar that's recommended for your body per day.

Another person made a YouTube video ranting about how hard it is to actually make the drink and that it can be messy.

"I have unicorn crap all in my hair and on my nose", Burson said in the video, which has since been deleted from his account.

Starbucks released a statement saying that they would talk to Burston to see how to make his "Unicorn Frappucino" experience better, but Burston isn't the only one who's disgusted by the sight of fake colors and straight shots of sugar.
