Gov. Scott Walker's Easter Egg hunt is back on

The museum's garden will be filled with hundreds of colorful toy-filled Easter eggs!

Okay, so they're not as tricky as wily rabbits.

Brigham City Kiwanis Club Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 15 at Pioneer Park. There will also be a closing musical program at 2 p.m.

Pleasant Grove Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 15 at Hee Haw Farms (150 S. 2000 W.) at 10:30 a.m. Organizers say there will be 45,000 eggs and each will have a piece of candy in it. The event runs from 10 a.m.to 11:45 a.m. Bring your own basket! Today, the hunts are organized throughout the country, partly thanks to the 5000 members of the International Association of Bomb Technicians (IABTI), who annually contribute $10,000 United States dollars to what has been dubbed "The Rachel Project".

Easter is Sunday and there are many events taking place in our area to celebrate. Only egg hunters need to be registered. Glen Ellen Village Market is providing 120-dozen eggs for volunteers to prepare the day before, April 14, at 3 p.m.at Glen Ellen Fire Station, 13445 Arnold Drive. The raffle will be 11:45 at the main stage.

Details: The free event will be held rain, snow or shine. There are approximately 12,000 eggs filled with candy as well as some with prize slips inside.

The Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum, 282 Rush Scottsville Road, Rush, will offer its Easter Bunny train rides from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. Trains will depart every half hour. Starts at 11 a.m., and is for children ages 1-8.

This Eggstravaganza at Civic Green Park in Highlands Ranch does have egg hunts. Children 12 and younger who are independently walking can participate. For children ages toddler through sixth grade.

Then, there will be the Egg Scramble in John Shaw Field at noon. The egg hunt will be divided into three age groups. Many churches also will set out eggs for children to find during their Easter services on Sunday as well.
