Mostly sunny skies, warm temps for Wednesday

Expect a partly to mostly cloudy day, with scattered area showers some snow in the high country.

Temperatures are now in the lower 60s with sct'd rain showers moving through Arkansas.

Tuesday is expected to be partly sunny with a high of 75 degrees, but there will be a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and a flood watch for most of the state, saying rain, hail and severe thunderstorms are possible - as well as strong, 30-mph-plus winds - on Thursday and possibly Friday.

Showers look likely as we continue into Thursday morning before a cold shot of air rushes into the mountains.

Better weather this weekend with more sunshine and highs in the middle 60's by Sunday.

Wednesday afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 67.

Friday night: Showers. Low around 48.

Monday: Sunny with a high of 78 degrees and a 5-10 miles-per-hour west wind.

Mostly cloudy with stray showers, 20%. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Breezy west winds at 15-20 miles per hour and gusts up to 30 miles per hour. The chance fo rain and some snow mixed in could happen Friday night, as the low dips to 36. Northeast wind 5 to 9 miles per hour. East wind 7 to 13 miles per hour becoming north, northwest in the afternoon.

Today: Occasional rain this morning, and very windy, with a high at 55. North wind 5 to 10 miles per hour becoming light and variable in the evening. The rain will come down heavy at times overnight, so flooding, especially in poor drainage areas, is a concern.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 68. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

There is still some uncertainty about the amount of snowmelt and precipitation expected, which will have significant impacts on water rises.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Another round of widespread showers and storms is expected to return Sunday night into Monday.
