Conor McGregor's fine for throwing water bottle at Nate Diaz significantly reduced

Diaz was hit with a $50,000 fine with 50 hours of community service for the incident, and after seeing Conor's sentencing reduced, could seek a similar review of his case. Usually, when somebody comes before us with a doping violation, we have a lot of precedent for that. "Throwing a Monster can and a water bottle at a press conference is a first". Trouble erupted when Diaz launched a water bottle at McGregor, prior to engaging in an argument with his entourage at the press conference. Diaz walked out upon his arrival, while his team taunted McGregor as he was answering questions.

A complaint by the Nevada state attorney general's office said a security officer received a minor injury when he was struck by a beverage can. Diaz was fined $50,000 for his role in the incident. "He's got knockout power", White said. It was originally set at $150,000 and 50 hours of community service.

McGregor challenged the NAC'S verdict in court and requested a re-hearing, a motion the commission will discuss later today. And in my opinion, with all due respect, I just didn't think that was fair. "I think this was the right outcome, and I think everyone agrees with that".

McGregor attended the hearing via phone but did not speak.

McGregor is also expected to move to Las Vegas for the fight after birth of his first child in late April or early May.

Asked when the fight is going to happen, McGregor said, "You'll hear about it".

The settlement should clear a path for McGregor, 28, to apply for a professional boxing license in Nevada.

UFC had previously been seen as the obstacle in the way of the potential fight with White joking that McGregor had more chance of playing in the Super Bowl than taking on Mayweather.

But the American seems keen on Mayweather v McGregor happening and believes the mixed martial artist will bring something different to the ring.
