OxygenOS 4.1 for OnePlus 3 and 3T upgrades to Android 7.1.1

OnePlus has started seeding the OxygenOS 4.1.0 based on Android Nougat 7.1.1 update to OnePlus 3 and 3T users.

There is an improvement in video stability when recording via the rear camera and has also improved the WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity.

However, it is worth noting that the update is being rolled out to users in batches and will soon be available for everyone.

In addition to the Nougat update, Oxygen 4.1.0 has added the expanded screenshots feature to the OnePlus 3 and 3T.

If you can't wait for the notification, you can head over to Settings About Phone System Update to manually check for the update. The device is third in line, after Pixel and Nexus devices, to receive Google's March security patch.

We have found the interesting changelog that comes with the new update.

Apart from these enhanced features, this update will fix the latest Google security patch to 1st March 2017.

The OxygenOS 4.1.0 also brings expanded screenshots feature which actually allows you to scroll through the screen and capture longer screenshots.

The list of improvements include reduced motion blur while shooting moving objects, improved video stabilization, improved Wi-Fi connectivity, improved Bluetooth connectivity, and general bug fixes. On that note, this will be an incremental update, and OnePlus states that a "small percentage" of users will be getting it today while it will begin hitting a larger amount of users in the next few days. But don't worry, the update might delay, but will reach definitely.

In addition to the OxygenOS update, OnePlus is asking for feedback from its smartphone customers on the company's UI and UX experiences.

Hold your breath as of now; you might soon get OTA update.
