'No chance' Rams will pursue Tony Romo

Tony Romo was not mentioned by name, but his situation could soon clarify with the Dallas Cowboys prepared to release him.

The Texans and Denver Broncos have been prominent in the Romo speculation.

What makes this story even more interesting is the fact that, at least publicly facing, the Cowboys are coming off with no sense of urgency when it comes to dealing with the elephant in the room that is Tony Romo.

Last year Siemian handily beat out Lynch and Mark Sanchez for the starting job after the team lost Manning to retirement and Brock Osweiler to free agency.

Siemian, 25, threw for 3,401 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions over 14 games in his first year of starting in the NFL.

"Pass rushers are awfully hard to find because it's a combination of obviously having great ability but also great feel as a pass rusher", Joseph said.

"Those are all things that go into consideration, to think about whether we bring in a veteran guy". Joseph can't talk about any National Football League veteran who now is on another team's roster because of anti-tampering rules, and we know who he was talking about.

As you can see, the Rams were not included as one of the top five teams listed above.

"Yes, that's a possibility, I'm not going to say that's not a possibility". Romo with an upgraded offensive line might. "Is he ready? That's a tough question", Joseph said.

Siemian continues to rehab his injured shoulder and Joseph added the third-year passer is "on track" for organized team activities.

Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett speaks with Denver Broncos executive vice president of operations John Elway during the 2017 NFL Combine at the Indiana Convention Center.

Additionally, reports do not indicate if the Bills would take on Siemian and Taylor, or if Siemian would be potential replacement.

Right now, Romo is still with the team, but that may change in a couple of weeks' time.

Though it would take the Broncos finding a new starter of their own in the offseason, this is a possibility that is extremely realistic.

"We won nine games previous year, and you would think we won three", Joseph said. The last thing we want to do is put them in there before he's ready, before they're ready. They're not in a hurry with Lynch, and they feel they can win with what they have if Lynch and Siemian remain the only two quarterbacks in the conversation.
