IPhone 8 to come with wireless charging

Feb 18, 2017, 00:32

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo states that the real size of the display will be around 5.8 inches however the display area will be only 5.15 inches while retaining the iPhone 7 form factor.

The most apparent change of the OLED iPhone will be a full-screen design, along with the elimination of the Home button and current fingerprint recognition technology. But Sur said this feature may not come out on the next iPhone, because of caution around the battery-related recall of Samsung's Galaxy Note 7. Furthermore, it has been mentioned that the actual active display area will be around 5.15-inch (diagonal).

Apple's iPhones have continued to have large symmetrical bezels at the bottom and top of the screens, with a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button.

This feature will allow external objects placed behind the device to be viewed through the screen, fact which screams Apple's involvement in the Augmented Reality field which can only mean that the competition will get even fierce. To enable the fingerprint scanner on the display, Apple is likely to lay down these interactive pixels on certain parts of the display which when sense and input will automatically scan for a stored fingerprint.

When functional parts can not be placed conveniently under the screen, the result is a bezel around the screen to carry them, as in Apple's Iphone where the home button and the speaker grill are on the bottom bezel, and selfie camera along with the sensors is at the top. Users can use the facial recognition function whenever the Touch ID does not work under wet conditions.

Son Nguyen Thai from Vietnam poses for a picture as he illuminates himself with his mobile phone at Puerta del Sol Apple Store facade the dawn before the company launches their Iphone 7 and 7 Plus on September 16, 2016 in Madrid, Spain. We see that in action daily in the Photos app in macOS and iOS. A report last summer suggested that Apple had been working on eye scanning technology since as early as 2014, but that it wouldn't be ready for a public launch until 2018. This year's iPhone would likely be a major overhaul with new technologies that are going to make it a game changer. Obviously, the inclusion of such an advanced feature would have repercussions, and one of them is the possible death of Touch ID. Initially, it was an alternative to unlocking our iPhones with a passcode, and later it became the authentication system for Apple Pay.
