Cavs Not Interested In Carmelo Anthony

If a new report proves true, then Jackson has indeed attempted to trade Anthony during the 2016-17 National Basketball Association season.

According to Fox Sports, the Cavaliers will do the Knicks a favor if they send Love to ny in exchange for Anthony.

The Knicks would have approached Anthony about waiving his no-trade clause had the Cavaliers expressed interest in the deal.

"I do think he'd want me to play with him", Anthony said Wednesday before the report was published, in the wake of James complaining the Cavaliers need roster help. "I don't think he wouldn't", Anthony said, via Marc Berman of the New York Post. James recently voiced out his frustration, fueling speculation that the Cavaliers will make a big trade before the deadline next month.

It's no secret that Carmelo Anthony and Phil Jackson have an unstable relationship.

It's been well-documented that Carmelo Anthony's contract with the Knicks has a full no-trade clause, but that apparently hasn't stopped the team from pursuing a potential deal.

The Knicks, who will play the Mavericks on Wednesday night, are struggling and could make moves before the February 23 trade deadline. Dealing Love for Anthony would really be a downgrade.

Anthony said Wednesday that, while he does think James would like to team up with him at some point, he has not though about the possibility of joining Cleveland. But I don't know if that comment is about me. At this point in their respective careers, Love is a superior player to Anthony. "It would be something that I'll always think about - shoulda, coulda, woulda". "It would be looking at opportunities and situations if that time does come". "He's won. He's just coming off of a championship, so for him to say he'll be 33 and doesn't have time to wait, he must have a different type of plan, a different goal, a different mindset of winning now and taking advantage of it". It would be a collective effort on all fronts - not just mine, but collective effort on the organization and understanding directions they want to go. I don't think he wouldn't. I have to be careful what I say here.
